The Digital Office (DO) supports the KIT board in direct line with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) or its staff function, the IV representative (IV-B), in digitization and in the development of the overall architecture in terms of information processing and supply (IV) at the KIT. This makes it the central point of contact for science and administration and supports the interaction of the technical levels and service providers of KIT.


As a Business Relationship Manager (m / f / d) for Research and Innovation, as part of the DO, you work directly with the Bureau members responsible for "Research" and "Innovation" as well as the IV-B. They act at the interface between the technical level and the information processing at KIT in order to ensure close integration of the respective strategies. In doing so, you build reliable relationships between the specialist levels, the IV service providers and their users, and advise on the use of IT. Their advice is based on observations of trends and foreseeable challenges in connection with digitization on the one hand and KIT development on the other hand. In your function as a link between the KIT service units or Between the individual presidium departments of KIT, you ensure a structured flow of information and regular coordination. This will help you build trusting and sustainable relationships and support collaboration. Ensuring and supporting a consistent process and IT architecture concerning the topics "research" and "innovation" are also within your area of responsibility.


They participate in various projects at the interface between the KIT core research and / innovation and IV tasks and identify potential synergies. By establishing well-functioning communication channels and clear responsibilities, you work closely with your colleagues (m / w / d) in the DO to contribute to a KIT-wide prioritization of IV services and digitization of processes.


Personal qualification
You have a university degree (Master / Diplom (Uni)) in science and technology or computer science, preferably with a doctorate, and can boast a multi-year appointment experience, ideally in an interface function. Sound experience in research data management and / or with research information systems is as much your own as basic knowledge of or a high interest in information technology topics. In the best case, you have knowledge of and experience with universities and / or non-university research institutions. They use the German language with style and have very good command of spoken and written English.


They are characterized by strategic, process- and results-oriented as well as networked thinking and acting and convince by their ability to analyze and innovate. Working together as a team means that you are socially competent and committed. In addition, you are able to initiate and steer change processes in a targeted manner. In these situations, your communication and negotiation skills as well as your decision-making ability will help you. They are absolutely reliable, appear professionally and safely, have a high degree of political sensitivity and like to work on their own responsibility and independently. Overall, you convince by a high degree of personal motivation for this function.
