Position overview


CECS is currently seeking applications for a Business Development and Alumni Relations Officer. The Officer will be part of the Business Development team within the Professional Services Group and is responsible for supporting the College’s Alumni, External Relations and Business Development plans and strategies. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Officer will; facilitate processes that support the day to day activities of the Business Development team; form and utilise networks that span the College and the University, whilst also liaising with a range of stakeholders including but not limited to; other College staff engaged in alumni and engagement activities, the Emeritus Faculty, donors and benefactors, alumni, fundraising volunteers, philanthropic foundations and corporations. This position will also have a close working relationship with the ANU Advancement Business Unit to ensure that there is a University-wide coordinated approach to both alumni and philanthropic activity.


We are looking for a team member with strong interpersonal, self-management, written and oral communication skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive professional relationships with colleagues and our Alumni community.  The successful candidate will be team-oriented, have the ability to multi-task and prioritise appropriately to meet deadlines.  The job requires flexibility, tact, confidence and strong instincts for confidentiality, protocol and etiquette.
