, Office of Experiential Learning, to lead the PKG Public Service Center and promote and support public service broadly across MIT's campus. Will provide leadership and vision for the PKG Center, strategically directing the development, implementation, and sustainability of public service initiatives; and work to increase student engagement in public service and maximize learning outcomes and community impact. Will also be responsible for the business operations of the PKG Center, including staff and program management and evaluation, communications, and finances/fund-raising; and for overseeing collaborations with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a master's degree (Ph.D. preferred); at least ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education administration, nonprofit management, or a related field; experience in strategic planning, program and personnel management, budgeting, and finance; ability to oversee professional staff of seven FTEs; proven success in fund-raising and stewardship; collaborative leadership style; ability to actively engage others in implementing an ambitious, long-term vision; proven success building and sustaining partnerships with external community partners; demonstrated ability to work effectively with undergraduate and graduate students and faculty; superior communication skills; clarity and effectiveness in written and oral presentations; familiarity with relevant evaluation and assessment approaches; and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and global learning. Experience in an academic setting and/or in STEM-related fields preferred. Must be able to meet a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and/or weekends and occasional travel. Job #16749-10
