A key recommendation was the creation of a new Faculty Clinical Academic Careers Office (CACO) with a senior clinical academic strategic lead and responsive HR professional. The major roles of the CACO are to: provide a focal point for advice and support for clinical academics in training; and to coordinate various initiatives proposed to improve clinical academic career pathway recruitment, retention and staff development activities.
