JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary role is to be responsible for the facilities management at the School of Business (BUS) and participate in all facilities related projects from conceptualisation to execution.
 
Job Scope
  • Assist in the management of facilities related projects at the School of Business (BUS) from conceptualisation to execution in a timely manner and meeting expected outcomes.
  • Gather user requirements and recommend suitable actions to maintain/improve the teaching and learning environment of the School.
  • Oversee all related procurement functions for maintenance, rectifications, refurbishment, enhancements, equipment, services, etc.
  • Report and follow up on all maintenance concerns. Ensure all teaching & classroom equipment are in good working order to facilitate smooth conduct of lectures and tutorials.
  • Liaise with end users, TP Estates and Facilities Management department (EFM), procurement department, vendors/contractors.
  • Monitor and facilitate site works to ensure good progress as scheduled and to participate in the selection of materials, furniture and equipment.
  • Facilitate focus group discussions with BUS stakeholders and participate in discussions with EFM, Architecture and M&E Consultants in the planning of A&A work within BUS.
  • Assist with the design of posters and banners.
  • Provide administrative support to the School.
  • Any other assignments/ projects assigned by Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary education in Interior Architecture Design, Building Services, Building & Estates Management is preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience preferred. Relevant experience in interior/graphic design and/or facilities management would be an advantage. However, fresh graduate with the appropriate profile will also be considered.
  • Portfolio of design work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp or similar design software
  • Possesses a positive attitude, motivated to grow and learn
  • Resourceful, results-oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Service and team orientated, resourceful, innovative and change-ready
