Position: Assessment Coordinator


     The Assessment Coordinator at the Foundation Institute (FI) is responsible for the production, moderation and administration of all quizzes and exam for the FI's English Language Program, as well as the reporting of all marks and corresponding analysis to the FI Director.


     Applicants should be able to begin work in Fall 2019 academic semester at the beginning of October.


Minimum Requirement


  1. Masters in ESL/EFL assessment or combination of TESOL and Assessment training.
  2. If the candidate does ot has the above requested qualification, it must be at leasr in one of the following fields:

           Teaching/Education, English translation, English literature, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, ad it must be accompanied by and English language teaching certificate CELTA or DELTA or TEFL certificate (or any certificate of teaching English as a second/foreign language) from a well-recogized institution.

        3. The candidate must have at least a score of (7) on the IELTS test or its equivalent in iBT test.

        4. Experience: Minimum two years as Assessment Coordinator in a language program plus ESL/EFL teaching experience.

        5. Experience using assessment and statistical analysis software such as SPSS and SAS.


Job Resposibilities


  • Placement Testing: Test preparation and production - scheduling, implemetation, invigilation, marking, results and security.
  • FI Quizzes: Writing quizzes, moderation, preparation of administration and invigilation schedules as well as monitoring and aalyzing results.
  • Continuous Assesment supervision.
  • Exams: Production, moderation, schedules, implementation, invigilation, marking, results, analysis, reporting and security.
  • Workshops: In collaboration with other coordinators to maintain standards and clarity in assessment, marking, rubrics.
  • Documentation: Maintain records and statistics of exams' results , protocols, exams stratigies , and rubrics.
  • Samling: Of +-all operations to ensure quality, purpose and intent are retained.
  • Review: At te request of the Director or assistant Directorof Language Program, review students marks and report.
  • Write proposals to revise assesment tools based on feedback from teacher and students and to adjust to the needs of the current program structures.
  • Write report on the implementations of tthenapprove changes or revisions of the assesment documen and the assesment tools.
  • Conduct proper and systematic Nlysis of all assesment results and write the required reports for approval of proposed changes when required.
  • Make sure all assesment materials meet required sprcifications to maintain originality, validity and reliability.
