Technical Officer (2 posts) in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 493865) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or a related laboratory science discipline. They should have at least 2 years’ solid work experience, preferably in mortuary work, embalming and handling of animal or human specimens. They should also be highly motivated, and able to work independently and as a team in a multi-disciplinary laboratory environment. The appointees are expected to provide technical support to embalming services; undertake manual work; handle human cadavers; and perform any other duties as assigned. In-service training on the embalming techniques will be provided. Occasional working on weekends/public holidays may be required.

 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
