The Production Lead will be responsible for the management of a team of video production specialists working collaboratively with learning designers, project managers, marketing specialists and academic stakeholders.

 

The incumbent will oversee the day-to-day activities of the video production team across all aspects of their work, including planning, production and post-production, quality assurance, reporting, client relations and issues resolution.

 

This role will work as part of the MSPACE design/production team, and will report to the Production Manager.

 

Key selection criteria:

Essential
- An appropriate tertiary qualification with extensive relevant industry experience in the production of educational multimedia content.

- Demonstrated success in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational multimedia project.

- Demonstrated staff management experience, including the ability to lead and manage in a supportive manner, and to foster collegiality and innovation in a rapidly changing environment.

- Extensive video production experience within an institutional production environment including:

  • producing/executing project plans and timelines within a large, multi-disciplinary, team-based production environment.

  • collaborating with multiple stakeholders often with divergent motivations and objectives.

  • developing creative programs, clearly conveying the creative vision and approach to multiple stakeholders.

  • working in a complex and dynamic team-based environment.

- Extensive experience in managing multiple video and digital media productions, workflows, schedules and processes, and all aspects of pre-production, production, post-production and quality assurance.

- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to facilitate high standards in analytical and technical communications with developers, stakeholders and clients.

- High level problem solving skills with the ability to exercise judgement and initiative.

 

Desirable

- A knowledge of the higher education environment, policies and procedures.

- An understanding of learning technology design, along with development processes and principles.
