TU Delft is known for pioneering research, excellent education and innovative cooperation with external partners. The management Campus and Real Estate develops and realizes new construction projects and renovations, takes care of the management and maintenance of buildings and grounds, supplies energy and takes care of the park management. Campus and Real Estate is subdivided into the Strategic Campus Management, Development Campus, Science Park Development, Projects, Management & Maintenance and Business Office departments. Together these departments work on a pleasant and sustainable study, research and work environment on a lively campus, so that TU Delft can maintain its position in international rankings.


The Strategic Campus Management department is responsible for the real estate strategy and real estate management (management and operation) of the TU campus (buildings, public space and facilities). Her starting point is the campus vision of TU Delft and the primary process of users. SCM develops the strategy and the policy for this and elaborates this in a concrete real estate strategy, real estate policy and housing and area plans. It defines the assignment for projects arising from the real estate strategy and the day-to-day operation of buildings and submits them for development and implementation to the Campus Development and Science Park department.


Job description


As an asset manager, you are responsible for the best possible professional real estate (also called asset) management at TU Delft at a strategic tactical level, within the framework of the established portfolio strategy. You are also responsible for looking after the strategic account management to customers and users and you are advising in consultation with the department manager and the CRE director, the Executive Board.


You act on behalf of TU Delft as owner - steward for a part of that portfolio and prepare an integral asset management plan for this. You monitor the performance of complexes within your sub-portfolio in operation and identify opportunities for exploitation improvement (supply). As asset manager real estate you carry out mutations in the stock (repulsion and re-delivery). You also ensure proper exploitation by users by means of housing plans and rental contracts (in- and rental) and advise your customers on housing solutions, which you bring together in housing plans (Question). You are responsible for strategic tactical relationship management, including the intake process of customer needs, customer inquiries and wishes to achieve the strategic asset management plan as much as possible in coordination with the customer. Every year you collect all strategic customer questions and maintenance plans. You coordinate this with the customer to the strategic asset management plan, which includes the needs plan, a multi-year maintenance and investment plan, and the tenants plan.




    • You have demonstrable university work and thinking level in the field of real estate management.


    • You have knowledge of and affinity with the real estate market and real estate finance, corporate housing in general (Corporate Real Estate management).


    • Experience with real estate calculation and knowledge of yield concepts real estate, market value in rented state, valuation management systems and Total Cost of Ownership.


    • You have a sense of political-administrative interests.


    • You can write clear (advice) reports.


    • Good oral and written command of the English language.     



Conditions of employment


The function has a maximum size of 38 hours per week (1 FTE). We offer a contract for 1 year. The salary depends on age and experience based on scale 10 with a maximum of € 4,084 gross per month. TU Delft offers an attractive package of secondary employment conditions, such as a discount from health insurers and a sports subscription. You can also make agreements about flexible working hours. In addition, it is possible to compile your own remuneration package annually via the Individual Terms and Conditions of Employment package and you receive a monthly work allowance contribution. On the campus is an International Child Center with childcare, pre-school and after-school care and an international primary school. Furthermore, Dual Career Services offers support to associating partners.
