TU Delft is known for pioneering research, excellent education and innovative cooperation with external partners. The management Campus and Real Estate develops and realizes new construction projects and renovations, takes care of the management and maintenance of buildings and grounds, supplies energy and takes care of the park management. Campus and Real Estate is subdivided into the Strategic Campus Management, Development Campus, Science Park Development, Projects, Management & Maintenance and Business Office departments. Together these departments work on a pleasant and sustainable study, research and work environment on a lively campus, so that TU Delft can maintain its position in international rankings.


The Strategic Campus Management department is responsible for the real estate strategy and real estate management (management and operation) of the TU campus (buildings, public space and facilities). Her starting point is the campus vision of TU Delft and the primary process of users. SCM develops the strategy and the policy for this and elaborates this in a concrete real estate strategy, real estate policy and housing and area plans. It defines the assignment for projects arising from the real estate strategy and the day-to-day operation of buildings and submits them for development and implementation to the Campus Development and Science Park department.


Job description


In this position you work in a young and dynamic work environment. Your core tasks and responsibilities are: 

1. Campus development 
You write the campus vision and real estate strategy documents in team, and submit them to the Executive Board for decision-making. You work out the real estate strategy in a team by naming, planning and budgeting projects and the total program for real estate production. You define the real estate strategy objectives at the level of campus facilities and you periodically report to the Strategic Campus Management manager on the progress of the campus. You have periodic coordination with the manager VGO and / or the director FMRE. 

2.Themee guide documents
You independently create policy documents for themes in which the policy frameworks for the realization and maintenance of campus facilities have been formulated. You are also responsible for implementation of developed policy. You advise the asset managers, developers and project managers within FMVG. You also advise building managers on the implementation of policy frameworks for the maintenance of the property and the land. You make proposals to the FMRE management for the renewal and adaptation of policy frameworks if developments make this necessary. 

3.Maintenance property strategy
You monitor whether the objectives formulated in the policy frameworks in current and planned projects are realized. You advise on the realization of the facilities objectives in projects. You evaluate the implementation of the real estate strategy together with colleagues from other departments and make proposals about updating the strategy to the FMRE management.




We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who has the following qualifications: 

- Academic work and thinking level (construction, civil, planning or business oriented); 
- Experience of 5 years with policy development within the public sector; 
- Knowledge of project-based work and common methodologies; 
- Knowledge about topics such as real estate (costs), environment and facility services; 
- Knowledge of the English language in word and writing; 
- Knowledge of applied software applications. 

• Function competences: creating support, environmental orientation, focus on collaboration.


Conditions of employment


The function has a maximum size of 38 hours per week (1 FTE). We offer a contract for 1 year with a view to extension. The salary depends on age and experience based on scale 12 with a maximum of € 5.405 gross per month. TU Delft offers an attractive package of secondary employment conditions, such as a discount from health insurers and a sports subscription. You can also make agreements about flexible working hours. In addition, it is possible to compile your own remuneration package annually via the Individual Terms and Conditions of Employment package and you receive a monthly work allowance contribution. On the campus is an International Child Center with childcare, pre-school and after-school care and an international primary school. Furthermore, Dual Career Services offers support to associating partners.
