Job description


In an internationally oriented, technically scientific environment such as TU Delft, where over 5000 colleagues and 22,000 students are dependent on functioning public spaces and underground infrastructure, every project is dynamic. In the position of project manager Civil you work in the young and professional working environment. In this position you are responsible for preparing, managing, realizing and delivering various civil projects on campus within the framework of established project definitions. 

You are the first point of contact and provide functional guidance to the internal and external employees who are deployed within the project during the project's lead time. 

An overview of your most important tasks and responsibilities can be found below:

- In consultation with interested parties, advise the project organization from the initiative or definition phase; 
- Coordinate and direct the project organization from the design phase in consultation with the interested party; 
- Control projects on the basis of the GOTIK-R aspects; 
- Send projects on process, progress and budget. Focus on transparency, recording and timely upbringing; 
- Preparing the required project documents, keeping the project file up-to-date; 
- Contracting of advisers and executing parties within the TUD tendering and mandate arrangements; 
- Coordination with users and stakeholders in the environment; 
- Monitor and guarantee the quality and progress of the design and execution work;
- Provide operational management to a junior project manager, depending on project size; 
- Responsible for transfer to administrators.

Conditions of employment


The function has a size of 38 hours (1.0 FTE). It is a contract for 1 year with good prospects of extension. The salary is based on scale 11 (with a maximum of € 4,757 gross per month for a full-time appointment). TU Delft offers attractive secondary conditions of employment, such as a discount from health insurers and a sports subscription. You can make agreements about flexible working hours, compose your own remuneration package annually via the Individual Employment Options package and you will receive a monthly work cost contribution. On the campus is an International Child Center with childcare, pre-school and after-school care and an international primary school. Furthermore, Dual Career Services offers support to associating partners.
