Property and Facilities


The Property & Facilities Division (P&F) is responsible for delivering comprehensive facilities management that supports the University's strategic objectives of Learning, Discovery and Engagement. To achieve this, and to further improve the environment in which members of the University community study, work and live, P&F provide a range of services. These include: infrastructure & sustainability, project Delivery, Planning and Property and Campus operations. Led by P&F and working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders, UQ’s energy and sustainability initiatives have gained significant recognition.


The Role

As the Commercial Property Manager you provide support to the Manager Property in all matters relating to the UQ property portfolio to ensure that the University’s responsibilities with regard to its property portfolio are met. You will ensure that lease/licence obligations are being fully met by lessees/licences and that all lease/licence details are up to date. You will liaise with the Legal Office and other key stakeholders on specific leasing and licensing details. Refer to the position description for the full range of required duties.


The Person

Applicants should possess:

  • A current license under the Property Occupations Act 2014 by a recognised body Such as REIQ;
  • Strong knowledge of relevant property legislation and the processing of lease and licence agreements/documentation;
  • The ability to effectively negotiate agreements on the University’s behalf and ensure that the priorities of the University are met.
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of commercial property management.

This is a full-time, 6 month fixed term appointment at HEW Level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range of $64,597 - $72,348 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5%. Total package will be in the range $70,733 - $79,221 p.a.
