The Academic Process Senior Managers working within the Academic Processes team based in Student Services (Development) provide specialist advice and direction as well as ensure the delivery of a number of services. Role holders will liaise, influence and negotiate with colleagues to develop effective policy and processes, and be required to resolve problems where the optimal solution may not be immediately apparent. This post holder, alongside a job share partner (already in post), will provide both strategic and operational leadership and management for the Curriculum team.


Taught Curriculum oversees the administration of the new programme approval process for the University, matters of quality assurance and policy relating to curriculum provision and the management of curriculum data within the University’s IT systems. The post holder will take particular responsibility for process and policy relating to existing curriculum.


Other duties, in collaboration with the job share partner, will include line management of Taught Curriculum team members, the planning and review of the annual cycle of activities and allocation of related workload within the team, the production of management reports as required and the documentation of Taught Curriculum activities and processes. The post holder will also be required to liaise with colleagues on the Ningbo and Malaysia campuses to ensure a consistent approach to curriculum activities.


This is a part time, 18 hours per week, permanent position. Ideally the post holder will work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays but exact days of work can be negotiated.
