Programme Manager Executive Education (Temporary cover)

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership's Executive Education team on a 6 month contract. The team works with leading organisations to develop and explore opportunities for sustainable business and to build practical approaches to driving change. Through executive and online education programmes, as well as highly customised initiatives, we provide access to the latest evidence and cross-disciplinary thinking, decision-making tools and approaches to developing sustainable business models.

 

We are looking for an exceptional individual to help us develop and deliver this expanding portfolio of work, contributing to our ambitions for growth and impact in the UK and internationally. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and integrate quickly into a diverse, highly motivated team.

 

Your role will involve managing key initiatives from the planning stage through to delivery and evaluation. You will contribute to the business development process through client research, market analysis and the development of proposals. You will work with Programme Directors to ensure that programmes are delivered in a timely and efficient manner, and achieve their objectives including high levels of client satisfaction.

 

As well as being committed to the values that underpin CISL's work, applicants will be expected to demonstrate the following essential skills and experience:

  • A thorough understanding of the broad landscape of sustainability issues, trends and pressures, and the relevance of these to business;

  • Strong organisational skills including managing a number of complex projects at one time;

  • Excellent written skills, including reports and proposals for clients and external presentations in the field of sustainability; 

  • Strong relationship management skills and a proven ability to grow and maintain relationships with clients, delivery partners and subject experts;

  • Ability to undertake rigorous and efficient research and analysis, and to present information in an effective and engaging way;

  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills;

  • The ability to work effectively and efficiently with little supervision;

  • High level of competence across standard software packages;

  • Qualification to at least degree level.

 

The following attributes will also be desirable:

  • Experience of developing new programmes and initiatives, including international projects;

  • Deep knowledge in specific sectors or themes, such as leadership, governance, collaboration and the SDGs;

  • Experience of designing educational courses;

  • Experience having worked with major business;

  • Qualification to Master's level in a relevant field.

 

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 6 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
