The Bodleian Digital Library Systems and Services (BDLSS) provide digital services for the students, researchers and staff of the University of Oxford. We are seeking an exceptional Digital Project Manager to manage the delivery of a varied portfolio of academic-led research and service development IT projects led by BDLSS. Based in the BDLSS Digital Research team, you will work with senior managers, librarians, researchers, and software engineers to deliver key projects in support of research, teaching and learning at the University of Oxford. Current projects include ORA 4, an initiative to scope and build the next generation open access repository on the foundation of the Oxford Research Archive (ORA) and the William Henry Fox Talbot Catalogue Raisonne, an online database of early photography.


As a Digital Project Manager, you will contribute to a variety of future initiatives, including projects focusing on such things as digitisation, metadata management and consolidation, International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) development, Linked Open Data, search engine optimization, and innovative approaches to search and discovery of digital resources. You will work in collaboration with colleagues in the Gardens, Libraries, and Museums (GLAM) division to explore cross-institutional opportunities for digital project delivery.


You will have a degree in a relevant discipline along with a successful track record in project management, proven people management skills, a collaborative approach to project delivery, and a willingness to engage with colleagues at all levels across the University.

This is a permanent full-time post.
