Administrative Assistant

Centre for Assessment and Monitoring
College of Education, Health & Human Development


Full-time at 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
Fixed-Term position (i.e. maternity leave cover for approx. 8 months)

What You Will Do

We have an exciting opportunity to contribute to our small administration team based in the Centre of Assessment and Monitoring (CAM). Within this administration role, you will provide exceptional, customer-focused support for a wide range of administration processes. You will be assisting an efficient and effective service provision and contributing to the smooth operation of CAM. The role of Administrative Assistant involves working as part of a small team to provide and maintain high quality administrative assistance along with providing the first point of contact for our customers nationwide.

You will be:

An exceptional administrator with extensive experience
A proactive self-starter with energy, drive and high levels of self-motivation
Resilient and able to work on own initiative
Positive with a can-do attitude

And you will have:

Proven accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail, together with the ability to maintain standards under pressure
Ability to competently use all modern office technology and equipment
Knowledge of and experience using and managing database systems and internet research techniques
Excellent organisational skills including the ability to cope with competing demands

Who You Will Work With

The Centre for Assessment and Monitoring (CAM) provides high quality assessment, evaluation and monitoring services for New Zealand schools nationwide. CAM is also an official IELTS Test Centre which administers the International English Language testing system to assess the language ability of people who want to study or work where English is the primary language.
