Administration Assistant

• Part-time (18.75 hours per week 0.5 FTE)
• Continuing (e.g. permanent) position

What You Will Do

The School of Biological Sciences is seeking an energetic and experienced administration assistant to provide professional customer service and proficient administration support for the Head, Staff and Students of the School.

Who You Are

You will have experience in an administrative support role in a medium to large office or organisation, ideally in a tertiary or education environment. You must be a confident self-starter, and need to demonstrate exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate and work effectively with a broad range of people. You must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a strong customer focus. You will have intermediate computer skills with the sound ability to use MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent organisational skills, including time management and the ability to prioritise conflicting demands while maintaining a high level of accuracy are essential.

The role of the School of Biological Sciences is to provide undergraduate and postgraduate education, and to carry out cutting-edge research in the Biological and Biochemical Sciences, and to facilitate the use by society of the knowledge gained.
