Account Manager


The University of Oulu is an international scientific community with about 13,000 students and 3,000 employees. The University's strengths include an extensive multidisciplinary and contemporary research and learning environment, as well as close cooperation with international educational and research institutions.


The Extension School is a service unit of more than 50 experts whose special area of expertise is the promotion of internationalization, digital learning environments, continuous learning in a global environment and business education in education. We develop training and work closely with faculties and degree programs.


We are now looking for an employment relationship that is valid for the time being




to provide the University's continuing education to businesses, organizations, and personal customers, which is essentially a comprehensive sale of continuing education. You develop customer processes and productisation training in cooperation with faculties. You are the contact person for in-service training for companies. As a working partner, you have the Customer Relationship Manager at the University Innovation Center at the University of Oulu and our competent continuing education team. You are a member of the Executive Team of the Center for Further Studies.


In your work, you will strengthen your education business and increase collaboration with stakeholders by regularly using your strong business and industry networks. You will be able to share your university education in a natural and understandable way and negotiate with your organizations about the needs of continuing education. You are actively following the trends in the development of workplace competence needs and are developing the University's continuing learning approach together with faculties.

appropriate higher university degree

experience in training business

very good oral and written proficiency in Finnish and English

good networks and

electronic systems, e.g. smooth use of customer relationship management systems

Knowledge of the University's operations, international business expertise and Doctoral Degree are considered to be an advantage.


We offer you interesting and challenging tasks at the University's renewable campuses in Linnanmaa and Kontinkangas. You can continually develop your own expertise with the support of a professional team, trainings, flexible working hours and the ability to work remotely.


The salary of the assignment is based on the level of demand of the other staff of the university salary system 11. In addition, a basic salary component is paid for personal performance, which is not more than 50% of the specific salary component. The employment is permanent and has a six-month probationary period. The assignment starts on August 1, 2016 or by agreement.
