Academic Councilor / Council (A 13)

The future job holder assumes the following duties:

  • Take on kustodial tasks. Eg planning and monitoring of teaching capacity; Planning and controlling of the institute's finances / resource budget.
  • Conducting courses amounting to 9 SWS. In particular, introductory and in-depth events in the area of quantitative and qualitative empirical research methods in the undergraduate educational programs in the BA and MA phase are to be offered, as well as events for the practical semester under the focus of research learning.
  • Support and expansion of the research activities of the research group Research Methods / Empirical Educational Research. The job holder works on projects of the AG and is involved in the acquisition of third-party funds or independently solicits third-party funds.
  • Prerequisite is a very good doctorate in educational science. We are looking for a scientist who has school experience as a teacher and who has sound knowledge and practical experience in the field of empirical research methods and teacher training.


In addition, they are desirable

  • high organizational skills and previous experience in financial planning / management
  • Experiences in the co-operation and coordination of research projects in the school context as well as in the (co-) application for third-party funded projects
  • Teaching experience in teacher training and / or educational science, especially in the field of empirical research methods and under the focus of research learning
  • Enjoy working in a team and a reliable, independent, purposeful and responsible way of working

For the assumption into a civil servant relationship gem. § 45 LVO a further full-time occupation of 3 years and 6 months after graduation or one year after graduation. If this condition has not yet been fulfilled, a transfer to the employment relationship (EG 13 TV-L) with the possibility of a later transfer to the civil service relationship can be carried out first. If the other civil service requirements for an appointment are not met, a permanent takeover in the employment relationship can take place.
